Dr. Jacob Mayhugh

Biography: I am from Miami, Florida and completed my B.S. in chemistry from Auburn University in 2019. In 2024, I completed my Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Oregon under the supervision of Prof. Darren Johnson. My dissertation work explored design strategies in the pnictogen-assisted self-assembly of disulfide macrocycles. Following my defense, I joined the Anslyn Lab as a postdoctoral researcher and am investigating orthogonal dynamic covalent reactions towards the high throughput formation of hierarchical assemblies and organic materials.
