I was born in Xi’an, China. I obtained my BS degree in Chemistry at Fudan University, Shanghai, China. After that, I went to Washington University in St. Louis for Ph. D studies (advisor: Prof. George Gokel). My research focused on membrane active peptides and their chemical and biophysical characterization and I got my Ph. D degree in August, 2008. Immediately after my graduation, I joined Prof. Eric Anslyn’s group as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Texas. My current project involves design, synthesis and characterization of virus inhibitors and also molecular recognition.
